Day 1 - Paris

After staying overnight at airport, we went out to city center to begin our journey in Paris.

Inside aero-express train which was so empty in the early morning

After taking some time to find our hostel in Paris, done with check-in and settled down, finally we began to treasure Paris. During Day 1, we mainly explored east part of Paris.
Paris in the early morning:

Some pics snapped along the way:

The first spot we reached was Jardin du Luxembourg. It is the biggest park in Paris. Inside the park there is Luxembourg Palace, which is the building of French Senate.

Yea, this park is huge and beautiful, though surely it will be much nicer during autumn and summer. Lots of fountains and monuments can be seen in the park too.

Next, we continued to go to Place Saint-Michel (Saint-Michel's Square). Just a small square but the highlight here is a unique fountain, called Fontaine Saint-Michel.

The next stop was Panthéon which mainly served as burial place of heroes of the ancient time. Just took the pictures at outside.
Since it was 3rd day of Chinese New Year, we decided to settle our lunch at China town of Paris. So, we headed to Place d'Italie where the China Town is located.

But the China Town in Paris is kinda disappointing. The chinese shops and restaurans are not particularly gathered along one street but the chinese shops and restaurants are located randomly at several streets. And there was no Chinese New Year atmosphere over there too apart of some decoration with lanterns along the road for a short distance.

Anyway, we had a good buffet lunch at a restaurant.

A few pics of food that we managed to take:

After the lunch and strolling around at the China Town, we went to Notre Dame. It is a historical cathedral with great structure of architecture. Among the noticeable events that had been taken place at this cathedral was the coronation of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Some views inside Notre Dame:

After that, some photo-session at the area outside of Notre Dame:

Our next and final destination of the day is Basilique du Sacré Cœur. It is a popular Roman Catholic church in Paris which is still in use todays. and wat's special of this place is it is located at the summit of butte Montparnasse which is the highest point in Paris. So at first we thought wanna to see the nightview of Paris from this highest point, and we found out that the nightview from here is actually just so plain...

Some nightviews:

After entering the church a while to see the structure inside and a small praying ceremony, we called it a day for day 1 and headed back to our hostel.
