Day 2 - Paris

This day was interesting and eventful as we explored the centre, the heart of Paris.

1st of all, a picture of taking simple breakfast with typical French bread which was provided by hostel.
The first spot of the day is Hotel des Invalides (Hotel in French means building). It consists of 2 parts, army museum and tomb of Napoleon.

Saw some kind of official military ceremony there too.

Came out from the other end of Hotel des Invalides...
Continued walking to front and crossed River Seine across Pont Alexander bridge.

After the bridge, there is Petit Place (small exhibition hall):and Grand Place (National Exhibition Hall):
then, passed by Opera Garnier, the main opera house in Paris:

saw Madeleine Church along the way:
Some pics along this way:
Then, we reached Place de la Concorde, which is the main square in Paris. and during French National Day, the ceremony and parade normally took place at this square.
And next, from Place de la Concorde, we began to walk along Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the so-called most prestigious avenue in Paris. My recognition about this avenue before is it is normally the final sprint way in last stage of Le Tour de France.
So, there are super many lots of cafes, cinema, luxury, glamour & branded shops along this street, with 'attractive' prices too of course...

The other end of Avenue des Champs-Élysées is Arc de Triomphe. This arc was built to honor those French soldiers, particularly during the Napoleon War.
There are many names of generals and soldiers on the arc...
Ok...the next destination of the day: EIFFEL TOWER!
and due to its extremely importance and excitement in any trips to Paris, I wish to do a special post just for the Eiffel Tower.
